What do you do for your small business during economic recessions to stay alive?

During the crisis, companies cut their budget, do lower their advertising costs, cut the sales jobs, …
But in the meantime, they increase their R&D activities and make more investment on the marketing. The result is that after the crisis, those who have made better shift on their capital, become bigger and the others, fade away. However, this is what the big companies do.

What shall small businesses do?

Multimedia and colors in Exhibition

Some people compare eMarketingPlanet with sites like SecondLife and crisize that it shall be like them.

The reasons that I haven’t used so much colors and multimedia on the framework of the exhibition:

1- The pages can be loaded faster.  This is not a movie site. This is an business advertising/promotional site for the world. There are lots of countries that users do not use broadband or use it at low speeds. So, everybody in the world can access it, no matter they are connected to the internet via DSL or dialup.

2- Using less colors, gives the exhibitors to present themselves the way they like. Exhibitors can use the colors in their booth.

3- Whay I have used black background? In two background colors, you can use any color: White and black. You may not use brown color in the blue background but you can use it in both black and white backgrounds.

eMarketingPlanet is not Social Networking

The importance of Advertising in inevitable to everyone. There are different kinds of methods to promote a company or a products. One of them is the exhibitions. However, participating in them, needs lots of investment and if it is held up in another country, the costs would be much higher.

The current world economic crisis, has made a problem for the companies. They need to find new customers and new markets, however, they have to reduce their costs as well. Some of the companies, have recently discovered the importance of virtual world and moved to it. But, some of them have started using the social networking sites and wonder why it didn’t work for them. Social networking sites are for connecting people have same viewpoints, interests, … to share their knowledge with each other but not necessarily connect clients to suppliers.

eMarketingPlanet Virtual Exhibition is an answer to this key problem.
